If you were exiled from your homeland, where would you move?

This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for December 09, 2007:
Canada!
I take trips there at different times anyway and love it, and it's close enough that there's a better chance for those I had to leave to come see me. Not only that, but I've also made some online friends from there to go with the ones whom I already know in real life.
Besides, I'd be crazy not to settle in the country that has Tim Hortons all over the place! LOL

Help

AJ,
We would love you to come to Canada, even without exile!
Dae
Thanks! You wouldn't happen to own stock in Tim Hortons, would you!?! LOL
I'll probably make it up to Canada again sometime in 2008. Hope so, anyway!
It truly IS a beautiful place!
During my last trip, I was thinking of driving all the way over to Quebec but fell in love with this one peninsula (can't think of the name) in the southeast part of Ontario a ways past Port Hope.
I stayed at a Comfort Inn in the city next to it and would go across this bridge each day to spend time on the peninsula. They had, among other things, this wonderful cheese factory and an historic inn next to some kind of Native American memorial park.
During past trips, I've been pretty much all over Canada with only a handful of exceptions. This took place at different times, starting when I was ten years old an on family vacations and as an adult.
In the years 1987 and 1988, I attended a wonderful “summer camp” in Port Hope (at Trinity College School) called Ganaraska Writers Colony.
I'll have to look you up and see from what part of Canada you're from.
When you find time and want to, check out my pods and join the one called Invisible Youth if you haven't already. I think you'll really like it.
Blessings!
AJ :-)
